Cookie Policy

Plain-language summary

We use as few cookies as possible. app.makplanet.com sets no cookies that require your consent; makplanet.com asks before setting any optional cookie. We do not use advertising cookies and do not track you across other websites. If that ever changes, we will ask first and update this policy.

1. What this policy covers

This policy describes how ARK Team, UAB ("MAKplanet", "we") uses cookies and equivalent technologies on makplanet.com and app.makplanet.com. It is part of, and read together with, our Privacy Policy.

"Equivalent technologies" includes browser local storage, session storage, and similar client-side storage. We treat them under the same consent rules as cookies, in line with Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive as transposed into Lithuanian law by Article 73 of the Law on Electronic Communications.

2. What is a cookie

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Some cookies last only for the duration of your visit (session cookies); others persist for a defined period (persistent cookies). Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting (first-party) or by another domain whose content the website loads (third-party).

3. How we ask for your consent

Strictly necessary cookies may run without consent because the site cannot work without them. At present app.makplanet.com sets no optional cookies, so no consent banner is displayed. If we introduce any optional category, a banner with equally prominent Accept and Reject choices will appear before anything is set, in line with EDPB Guidelines 03/2022, and this policy will be updated with the details and the consent record we keep.

4. The categories we use

4.1 Strictly necessary (no consent required)

Required for the website to work. Cannot be disabled without breaking core functions.

4.2 Functional (consent required)

None at present. Language choice is expressed through the page address (/lt), not through a cookie.

4.3 Payment processing

Payments, where offered online, are handled by our EU-licensed payment processor (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Ireland) on its own pages; its cookies are governed by its own policy at stripe.com/legal/cookies-policy and are never set during regular browsing of app.makplanet.com.

4.4 Analytics

None at present. If we introduce analytics, it will be a privacy-respecting, EU-hosted, cookie-free service, and this policy will name it.

4.5 What we do not use

This list is exhaustive of the categories we have deliberately ruled out. If we ever change this position, we will update this policy and ask for fresh consent.

4.6 makplanet.com (Squarespace)

makplanet.com is hosted on Squarespace, which sets strictly necessary cookies for site functions and the store cart. Performance and analytics cookies are set only with your consent through the banner shown on makplanet.com.

5. Third-party content embeds

Some pages may embed third-party content (for example, an embedded video or a map). Where such content sets cookies, those cookies fall outside the strictly necessary category and are only loaded after you accept them. Where the embed could set advertising-style cookies, we replace it with a click-to-load placeholder so that nothing is set on your device until you explicitly ask to load that content.

6. How to control cookies in your browser

All major browsers let you block, delete, or be alerted when cookies are set:

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect basic site functions; there are no optional cookies to block.

7. Detailed cookie register

We maintain an internal cookie register (name, provider, purpose, duration, category). It is available on request from privacy@makplanet.com.

8. Changes to this policy

If we add a new cookie category, change a provider, or alter the purposes of an existing category, we update this policy, update the effective date at the top, and re-prompt for consent where the change is material. We review this policy at least every six months.
