Cookie Policy
Effective: 22 May 2026 · Version 3.0
Pending review by Lithuanian counsel.
Plain-language summary
We use as few cookies as possible. The only cookies that run by default are strictly necessary to make the site work — for everything else we ask. We do not use advertising cookies, do not track you across other websites, and our analytics provider does not set cookies at all. You can change your choice at any time viaCookie Settings in the footer.
1. What this policy covers
This policy describes how ARK Team, UAB("MAKplanet", "we") uses cookies and equivalent technologies onmakplanet.com andapp.makplanet.com. It is part of, and read together with, our Privacy Policy.
"Equivalent technologies" includes browser local storage, session storage, and similar client-side storage. We treat them under the same consent rules as cookies, in line with Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive as transposed into Lithuanian law by Article 73 of the Law on Electronic Communications.
2. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Some cookies last only for the duration of your visit (session cookies); others persist for a defined period (persistent cookies). Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting (first-party) or by another domain whose content the website loads (third-party).
3. How we ask for your consent
Strictly necessary cookies (see section 4.1) run automatically because the law allows it without prior consent — they are the ones the site cannot work without. For every other category we ask for your explicit, granular consent through a cookie banner when you first visit, with three balanced options:
- Accept all — strictly necessary and any optional categories
- Accept only necessary — only what the site cannot work without
- Customize — choose category by category
"Accept" and "Reject" are presented as equally prominent choices, in line with EDPB Guidelines 03/2022 on deceptive design patterns. You can change your mind at any time by clickingCookie Settings in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
Consent records (timestamp, version of this policy, choices made) are retained as proof of consent under GDPR Article 7(1) for as long as you have an active cookie banner choice on file and for three years after the last update, then deleted.
4. The categories we use
4.1 Strictly necessary (no consent required)
Required for the website to work. Cannot be disabled without breaking core functions.
- Session management — keeps you logged in during a visit to app.makplanet.com
- Consent preferences — remembers your cookie choices, persistent for up to 12 months
- Security tokens — anti-CSRF, bot challenge, and abuse-prevention tokens
- Load balancing — routes your request to the correct backend
4.2 Functional (consent required)
Optional features. Run only if you accept them.
- Language preference — remembers EN / LT choice across visits
- UI preferences — interface settings you choose
- Booking session — session storage active during the consultation booking flow only
4.3 Payment processing (active only at checkout)
Our EU-licensed payment processor (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Ireland) sets cookies on its own domains during checkout. These are necessary to complete the payment securely and to meet financial-services regulatory requirements (PSD2 / strong customer authentication). They activate only on the checkout pages, not during regular browsing of the site.
Stripe's cookie disclosure and policies are published atstripe.com/legal/cookies-policy.
4.4 Analytics — cookie-free
We use a privacy-respecting, EU-hosted analytics service (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia) which is planned to be in place from the publication date of this policy. Plausible does not set cookies on your browser. It collects aggregate metrics (visits, page-level counts, referrer, country-level location, device type) without building a user profile and without cross-site tracking. Because no personal data within the meaning of Article 4(1) GDPR is processed and no information is stored on your device beyond what is strictly necessary, no consent is required for analytics under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
4.5 What we do not use
- Google Analytics, Universal Analytics, or GA4
- Meta / Facebook Pixel
- LinkedIn Insight Tag
- TikTok, X, or Snapchat tracking pixels
- Programmatic advertising or retargeting cookies of any kind
- Cross-site or cross-device tracking trackers
- Browser fingerprinting techniques
- Session replay or behavioural recording tools
This list is exhaustive of the categories we have deliberately ruled out. If we ever change this position, we will update this policy and ask for fresh consent.
5. Third-party content embeds
Some pages may embed third-party content (for example, an embedded video or a map). Where such content sets cookies, those cookies fall outside the strictly necessary category and are only loaded if you accept functional cookies. Where the embed could set advertising-style cookies, we replace it with a click-to-load placeholder so that nothing is set on your device until you explicitly ask to load that content.
6. How to control cookies in your browser
All major browsers let you block, delete, or be alerted when cookies are set:
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break login, checkout, or language switching. Blocking optional categories only removes the optional feature.
7. Detailed cookie register
We maintain an internal cookie register listing each specific cookie name, provider, purpose, duration, and category. We will send the current register on request toari@makplanet.com within 30 days. Once we publish a machine-readable cookie register atmakplanet.com/cookies/register, this section will link to it directly.
8. Changes to this policy
If we add a new cookie category, change a provider, or alter the purposes of an existing category, we update this policy, update the effective date at the top, and re-prompt for consent where the change is material. We review this policy at least every six months.
9. Contact and complaints
Questions about cookies: ari@makplanet.com. You may also complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI) — see Privacy Policy section 10.1 for contact details.
